My first blog!

Ok, so I have always wanted to start a blog of my love of travel. I bit about me...
I am in my 30s and I have been married to the most wonderful man for 13 years and we have 2 beautiful kids ages 9 and 3. I have a regular job (not in travel) I wish!!! Anyways, we are your normal family...if there is such a thing. But I have what you may call an addiction! I love to eat, sleep, dream travel! I love anything dealing with cruising but I dream of other trips and vacations too! Far off places with different languages! or sitting on the Lido deck of a cruise ship and seeing only water as far as the eye can see! Dream! Dream! Dream!
I have decided to blog about cruising and traveling because frankly everyone around me is tired about me talking travel and I cannot continue annoying the people around me with deck plans and pricing and wanting to go here and there!  I am pretty sure my assistant is going to quit if I talk about cruises on more time! So hopefully if you are reading this you understand my addiction and need to get all of the information that I find out there and out of my head!!!

So lets get started!

Last month my family and one of my best friends and her family all went on the Carnival Magic! It was amazing! The best vacation I have ever been on! Not sure if it was the cruise or the company, we had a BLAST! Like I said I love anything to do with cruising-talking about cruising, planning cruises, giving tip on cruising! I have only been on 4 cruises and this was my first 7 day cruise. I have been on a 10 day Holland American cruise in the mid 90s and then a 5 day Carnival cruise in 2007 and then a 4 day Carnival cruise in 2010. So I finally got my dream family 7 day cruise and it was all that and more. Between both families there were 10 people in all and 6 were kids ranging in age from 14 down to 3! We sailed out of Galveston and headed to Cozumel, then Grand Cayman and finished up in Montego Bay Jamaica! Loved every minute of it and I am ready to go again! I will hopfully figure out a way to post pics soon!

I am biting at the heels to book another cruise and I want to go for my BIG 40 next year. I LOVED the Carnival Magic and would love to on the alternative route to the Bahamas BUT I also would like to experience Royal Carribean and go on the Oasis of the Seas! It seems to be quite a bit more than the Magic but I am wondering if it will be worth it....Hmmmmmm

  1. Christie, I'm so glad that you started this blog and it was good to meet you and your family on the cruise last month. Carnival magic was my first cruise and we so LOVED every minute of it!!! You are so right about cruising being addictive, i am also ready to book my next one. my husband insist on doing the Magic again because everything was perfect!!! But now you have me wondering about Royal Carribean....humm. Wish we would have went on the stingray excursion with you all in Grand Cayman, my hubby chickened out at the last minute (he's not a big fan of water) which is funny because at first he balked about going on a cruise because of the water but he is SO ready to do it again. We had a balcony and spent a lot of time there. looking forward to reading more of your blogs. Take care!

  3. Michelle, It was nice to meet you too! I don't blame your hubby at all on wanting to go on the Magic again. Wonderful ship, no complaints here! If you get a chance to go back to Grand Cayman y'all should do the Sting Ray excursion. Definitively book with Native Way www.nativewaywatersports.com they made our day perfect from beginning to end! Sharon answered every question I had and was very pleasant to work with! Keep Reading!
